Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor from Bahrain's Manama was raised in the multicultural home of a family. Jacqueline's dad Elroy Fernandez is from Sri Lanka. Jacqueline is the youngest of two brothers and one older brother. The 80s were the time when her parents fled to Bahrain because of civil war over Sri Lanka. This is why she was both born and raised in the country. In Australia, she studied Media and Communications at University of Sydney following her graduation from Bahrain. As a lover of culture and languages, she joined Berlitz Language School where she learned Spanish and improved her French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006 and she competed as Miss Universe 2006 also. In 2006, she was awarded the Miss Sri Lanka title. Following that, she stepped on television as a host of the show about Sri Lankan business named Lanka Business Report. Padukone was the daughter of badminton star Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore. As a teenager, Padukone competed at the national badminton tournaments level. However, she left the sport in order to pursue a career as a designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalorean roots and speaks Konkani as her primary language. Padukone is a village within the Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone has retired as an international badminton player and her mother is also a travel agent.
